Flaky install Win 7 x64 RTM

I first attempted to install Forcefield from a network drive. Part way through the install process the network drives were all disconnected by the installer. The process continued to the 100% mark then froze. I waited (and waited and waited) then gave up and power cycled the PC. When the Win 7 welcome screen cleared I got a completely black screen with a mouse cursor and nothing else. So had to power cycle again. This time I started in safe mode and uninstalled ZA. Having rebooted at the end of that I copied the installer to a local drive and repeated the process. All worked fine and it installed successfully and completed the confi process.

So it seems you must install from a local drive.

That is Correct.. All ZoneAlarm Prodicts are Designed to be run and Installed on the Computer that they are Installed on..

You can not install them across a Network as Zone Alarm does not Run on Server OS.. like Windows 2003/2008

also they just released the win7 compatible version on the main release site
